Ukraine a Year Later

Interesting update on Ukraine. Only problem:

Everywhere, the old Soviet ways are petering out. Kiev is now a pleasant place--no, above all, a normal one.

Either the writer hasn't been to Kiev or he doesn't know what normal is.
